~Welcome to my blog!!!~
I am a stay-at-home mom to three kiddos- two girls who are 10 and 7, and our first little boy who will be 5 in October.
It can get a little chaotic around here with all the activity of three kids... but I wouldn't trade any of it for the world!

Well, at least most days I wouldn't... ;)

I suck. :(

Guess how many times I've gone to work out at the fitness room I joined a few weeks ago??

I'm almost embarassed to admit it. But I will. I've gone once. Yep, you read that right. Only once. I wish I could say I had a great excuse like the machines are all broke or the building burned down. Or even that I was abducted by aliens. But, alas, that's not the case.

I'm just plain lazy. L A Z Y. Sure, babysitting has been a bit of an issue and I have had an eye infection (red) for a few days but there have been plenty of times I could have gone and didn't. Just last Monday morning, I was supposed to take the girls to my mother in law's so I could go work out. I called her 20 minutes before I was due to be there and cancelled. I didn't feel like getting up and getting ready. She offered to keep them Friday morning. Did I take her up on it? Nope.

I have good intentions. But getting those intentions up and outta bed is the problem.

A week or so after I joined the fitness plan, my hubby bought a bowflex machine. He got a great deal on it for $200. Guess where it's sitting?? Out in the garage up against the wall. The plan is to move it upstairs to our future workout room, which is currently my two year old's nursery. We're moving her to J's room, moving J to hubby's office, and moving his office (computer) to the room that's destined to be the workout room. Hopefully we can get this done soon before the bow flex starts collecting too much dust!

If I have a workout machine right in my very own house (along with a treadmill we're going to buy, once we find a cheap one!), then I'll have no excuse not to work out, right?!?! Babysitting won't be an issue, cold weather won't be an issue.

Only thing is.... laziness can definitely be an issue.

Please send me some "stop-being-lazy" vibes. And hurry.... quick!! The holidays (along with food, food, food) are upon us....

UGH!

Remember my Ebay auction for the Boyd's Bears that went way higher than I anticipated?!?!?!

I shipped them out Wednesday and the buyer got them today. In transit, THREE pieces broke off of the Bearstones!! I had them packed securely AND had the PO stamp "fragile" on the outside!

And they're freakin' broke!!!

Luckily, the seller just wants a partial refund. Only problem?? I've spent the money so I'll have to do a credit card transfer.

Cha-ching!

Ok, so I listed some stuff around the house so I could make some extra cash for Christmas shopping. Listed a few Boyd's Bears that I've had for several years. They've been sitting in a box in our computer room. There were three that had sunflowers on them so I listed them together as a lot. And figured I'd make around $10 at the most on them. Take a looksee...

Cha-ching!

I'm off to see what other things I can find to sell....

And so it begins...

Today, I finally got my arse over to the fitness center (that I joined earlier this week) for my first workout!! My hubby ended up taking the day off. As soon as he told me he was staying home, I said, "great! You can stay with the girls so I can go work out!"

So I got them some breakfast, threw in a Barney tape, and headed out the door!

When I got there, a good friend of mine just happened to be there too so I had someone to work out and chat with! Even though the director guy did a run through of the machines last week at the orientation, I am still pretty...ok, extremely... clueless on what different exercises/machines I needed to do for the different muscles! My friend helped me out some, but I still felt pretty clutzy! wacko.gif Especially when I was trying to lift weights! I guess it'll get better with time. I can already feel a bit of soreness in my muscles tonight! Nothing too excruciating... just the feeling that I did some stretching today! So that's good!

I talked to my mother in law and she is going to keep the girls on Monday mornings for an hour or so so I can go work out. Then Hubby will keep them in the evenings once he gets home from work. I have a feeling though that the evenings are going to be a bit busy (since it is a small fitness room..... only one of each machine) so I'm hoping to figure out some sitter plans for other days too! A friend (who also stays home!) and I have discussed switching off one day a week and babysitting for each other.

Hopefully I'll get the babysitting issues all worked out soon. Then I can get myself into a regular routine and start to see some results in the next couple months.

FYI

Just in case you're wondering why my header looks different and incomplete.... I'm working on changing some graphics around but photobucket is being a pain in the arse. Grrrrr....

I'm off to bed to read. I'll try again tomorrow...

UPDATED 11/2/05, 3:00ish: Obviously, photobucket wasn't bugging me today. Hope you like the changes I made. I was getting tired of looking at the same logo! LOL
