My New Obsession
Yeah, I know... I've been missing in action again. My excuse this time? Well I've already blogged a little bit about it a few posts down.
I've become, oh just slightly obsessed, with buying Nicholas cloth diapers. I've been buying different styles and brands to find the ones we like best. There are sooooo many options available, it's overwhelming. Yet, at the same time, fun. I have an entire folder on my favorites of cloth diapering sites. Any time I find a good deal or a cute dipe that I can't resist, I bookmark it. And I'm even considering attempting to make a couple of my own with some free patterns I've found online. That is, once I can get brave enough to attempt elastic!
We are pretty much cloth diapering full time now except for nights. And I've already purchased a few that I'm going to be trying overnight to see if he stays dry. So hopefully soon, Nicholas will be in cloth diapers 100% of the time. My family is "intrigued" with my new obsession. Hubby thinks they're ok... he doesn't do much of the changing or any of the washing but he's definitely on board with using them. My sisters... they think I'm a little nuts. Although my one sister did call me to find out some info for her friend who is thinking about doing it. I'm hoping to convince my pregnant niece to give them a shot too... but I think the initial cost will turn her off.
I have to admit... the cuteness is what's gotten me so nuts over cloth diapers. As you can see in the picture from the link above, the new modern age dipes are not what you think of when you think of cloth diapers. You can pretty much get any design you want on a diaper and any pattern/material. I'm actually on the hunt for someone who will do an Ohio State dipe for us. Any takers?!?!
So, anyways, I have a bunch of diapers I want to buy and for that, I need to make more money. SO, I'm off to get some ebay auctions ready. All of Nicholas' outgrown clothes...
Before I go, I meant to post last week about my middle kiddo starting preschool. And just never got around to it. But I have to share this adorable picture...
This is her, right before we left for her first day of preschool. Isn't she just the cutest little big girl?!?!

Wow. They are cute girls. Thankds for sharing the pics. If you want to use cloth diapers, go ahead. You do want you want. He's your kid. I have a friend who also uses cloth diapers. She also makes them and sells them to make money. She's a stay at home mom, too, with three kiddos.
BTW, Hello. Michele sent me.
Your kids are gorgeous!!
I never used cloth diapers for my kids. But if you want to use them, go for it...your kid, your choice! :-)

I used cloth diapers with my first child and I would be hard pressed to go back to them now. They leaked and laundry was horrible!
